Gary Greenwald currently serves as Senior Vice President, Fiduciary Analyst in the Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) Client Services group, working both with GreatBanc Trust Company’s Chief Legal Counsel on legal and compliance issues relating to ESOP transactions, and with the Client Services Group, assisting in the review of and/or managing of ESOP Transactions and client relationships.
Mr. Greenwald joined GreatBanc in 2017. Beginning his career in 1971, Mr. Greenwald served as Principal, Founder and/or Partner for highly regarded business and litigation firms in Ohio and Arizona. Mr. Greenwald has served as lead or co-lead Trial Counsel in many significant ESOP cases. He is a member of the Ohio bar and former member of the Arizona bar, and is admitted in more than 10 U.S. District Courts.
Mr. Greenwald earned a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Miami, Ohio, and a juris doctor from the Ohio State College of Law. Mr. Greenwald is a Member Representative of the National Center of Employee Ownership (NCEO), and was an attendee or presenter at its annual conferences for 15 years. He has additionally been a Member Representative of the ESOP Association in Ohio/Kentucky and the Western States Conferences, as well as the Ohio Employee Ownership Council, where he also attended or presented at conferences for many years. In addition to his business career, Mr. Greenwald serves as Adjunct Professor at the Ohio State College of Law.
