Dave Van Ness serves as a Client Services Officer and Vice President on the GreatBanc Client Services team, focused on managing client relationships and ESOP transactions. He has been in the retirement plan industry for more than 30years across multiple facets of the business.
Prior to joining GreatBanc Trust Company in 2021, Mr. Van Ness served in a variety of roles including retirement plan auditor, recordkeeper, and consultant. This gives him a uniquely well-rounded ESOP background from which to draw and makes him a valuable resource for GreatBanc clients.

Mr. Van Ness is a member of The ESOP Association’s (TEA) Administrative Committee and an advisory member of the organization’s Indiana chapter. He regularly presents on ESOP topics at various local, regional, and national conferences hosted by TEA and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO). Mr. Van Ness is a former Certified Public Accountant (CPA); he holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting from Indiana State University.
