Steve Ryan serves as a Senior Vice President and Client Service Officer on the GreatBanc Client Services team, focused on managing client relationships and coordinating ESOP transactions.
Mr. Ryan has been in financial services for 35+ years and has more than 25 years of ESOP experience. Prior to joining GreatBanc in 2022, he worked in investment banking, leading commercial banking teams responsible for financing ESOP companies. Mr. Ryan frequently presents at local, regional, and national ESOP events, speaking on topics that include board governance, ownership transition alternatives, financing, and capital allocation.
Mr. Ryan serves as Treasurer and Board Member for the Missouri Center for Employee Ownership and chairs the Private Directors Association’s National ESOP Committee. He is also the Audit & Compensation Chair for S7, an Idaho-based ESOP Company.
Mr. Ryan is an active member of The ESOP Association (TEA) and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in International Business from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from University of Iowa.
