Mr. Miller is a Vice President and member of the GreatBanc Compliance Team. He specializes in assisting ESOP companies with ERISA compliance, corporate governance, equity compensation, executive compensation, and benefit level analysis.
Though he lived in Spain and Northern Europe for 6 years, Mr. Miller hails from the cool, cloudy air of the Pacific Northwest. He began his career in commercial litigation, focusing on issues including contract disputes, minority shareholder rights, and professional fiduciary liability. “I got into ESOPs because wanted a career path where I could use my legal skills to make a positive difference in the world and be proud of what I do. I like the win-win of ESOPs. It’s exciting to be part of something that allows everyday people gain wealth they otherwise would not have and empowers privately held businesses thrive.”
Mr. Miller is an active member and leader in the ESOP community, speaking regularly at National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) conferences and other regional events. He also serves as Chair of the ESOP Emerging Leaders Forum and is a member of both the NCEO and The ESOP Association.
When he is not coordinating ESOP transactions, you can find Mitch outdoors hiking, mountain biking, and spearfishing.
Mr. Miller graduated with honors from the University College Maastricht in the Netherlands and earned his Juris Doctor from the California Western School of Law.
